The newly formed Northwest Omaha Neighborhood Alliance has named its roster of founding officers.

Donna Christian of the Willow Wood Homeowners Association will be the group’s first president. Dennis Brown of the Sunny Slope/Sunny View Neighborhood Association has been named Secretary.

Showing the ambitious geographic reach of the association that has 14 charter members and a verbal commitment to join from two more, Janet Redick of the Country Club Hills Neighborhood Association has been announced as the treasurer.

Country Club Hills’ western boundary is 72nd Street, the demarcation point of the association’s eastern limit. An all-are-welcome spirit is the best reason that Neighborhood News can think of when it comes to a justification for yet another inaugural action, another first – the association's bending its own rules.

Dodge Street is the organization's not-so-set-in-stone southern boundary.

The new group joins five existing area coalitions: South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance, Midtown Neighborhood Alliance, Benson-Ames Alliance, North Omaha Neighborhood Alliance and the Council Bluffs Downtown Neighborhood Alliance.
